Monte Faiè, a viewpoint overlooking the Val Grande

Exploring the mountains around Lake Maggiore

May 10

Monte Faiè, a viewpoint overlooking the Val Grande

The second of our two days in the mountains above Verbania will take us to the border of one of Piedmont’s two national parks: the Val Grande National Park. We’ll set out from the woods above Lake Mergozzo and venture along wild trails, passing through ancient hamlets and making our way to the ridge that overlooks the valleys of the national park. The peak we will reach, Monte Faiè, is one of the most scenic and picturesque spots in the Verbano area.
